Curiocity Introduces #RestoBingo to Encourage Toronto to Eat Local

What’s up, guys! The past year has felt like a lifetime, but with the vaccine rolling out and spring on the horizon, it feels like we can begin seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Canada’s small businesses, however, are still seriously struggling. The food & drink industry is without a doubt one that has been hit the hardest by the pandemic, but it’s also the lifeblood of our city’s culture, diversity, and identity. That’s why Curiocity is excited to announce our Curiocity #RestoBingo to encourage us all to support local when buying food.

So, what’s #RestoBingo? Well, it’s pretty much exactly what it sounds like. We got the inspiration from San Francisco Tourism who launched a Takeout Bingo card, and we figured if one of the best foodie cities in the world is doing it, why not us?

Whether you’re able to order takeout, delivery, or even able to eat in, you just pick something off the Restaurant Bingo card and cross it off when you’re done! Plus, you can tag your eating adventures on Instagram with #RestoBingo and see just how fast you can finish your card. It’s tasty, it’s easy, and you’re most likely ordering food or eating out already, so why not make a game of it?

Curiocity has tried to be a beacon of light and positivity this past year, highlighting local success stories and ways to make the pandemic even just a little bit easier for those struggling the most. The Curiocity #RestoBingo is just more of that – a way for us to have a little fun while keeping our favourite local restaurants going!

So, what are you waiting for? Save the #RestoBingo to your phone, print it off your computer, heck, get it tattooed on your skin! Whatever you want to do with it you can, but we hope it helps you enjoy your city just that much more.

Cheers!
