Shania Twain

Dust off your dancing boots, because ‘from this moment on,’ 2023 will see you two-stepping with the queen of country! Canadian legend and fashion icon, Shania Twain is currently on her worldwide tour, which is stopping in Vancouver on May 2nd and 3rd.

Joey Mcintyre 

American singer-songwriter (and actor) Joey Mcintyre is coming to the Hollywood Theatre in Kits on May 2nd, so get ready for some fantastic pop music to get your month started off right.

M83 

M83 is the project of multi-instrumentalist Anthony Gonzalez, who perfectly blends together multiple inspirations into an immersive, synth-pop sound. He and guest artists are bringing the Fantasy 2023 Tour to the Commodore on Tuesday, May 9th.

Two Friends 

As their name suggests, Two Friends is comprised of two LA-based DJs, known for their popular remixes of
Blink 182’s “I Miss You” and The Killers’ “Mr. Brightside”, with official remixes for Lana Del Rey, Tove Lo, The Chainsmokers, and more. They’re also famed for their original mixes, which include hour-long “Big Bootie” mixes.

Hayley Kiyoko

A fun fact about singer, dancer, and actress triple-threat Haley Kiyoko: She’s appeared in several iconic movies from the 2000s, including the Scooby-Doo! series, Lemonade Mouth, and Insidious: Chapter 3. As for her music career, she got her start in 2013 with the release of her EP A Belle to Remember, and she’s been on the creative rise ever since.

Gary Numan 

English musician Gary Numan entered the scene as a frontman of the new wave band Tubeway Army, releasing his own solo album The Pleasure Principle in 1979, which topped the UK charts. Now, he has 10 million record sales under his belt, and has amassed a cult following.

half alive 

Known for their hit single “Still Feel,” half alive is a band from Long Beach, formed in 2016 by lead singer Josh Taylor, drummer Brett Kramer, and bassist J. Tyler Johnson.

Matchbox Twenty

Matchbox Twenty is an ever-popular American rock band formed in Orlando, Florida, in 1995. The group currently consists of Rob Thomas, Brian Yale, Paul Doucette, and Kyle Cook.

Kali Uchis 

Coming to UBC’s Doug Mitchell is none other than Kali Uchis, AKA Karly-Marina Loaiza. The American singer-songwriter released her debut mixtape Druken Babbie in 2012, followed by her debut EP, titled Por Vida in 2015. In 2018, she released her debut studio album Isolation, which received widespread acclaim.

Purple Disco Machine 

German disco and house producer Tino Schmidt, also known as Purple Disco Machine, has risen to global fame – and for good reason. This is definitely a must-visit if you’re looking for an EDM concert to attend this month.

Luke Combs

Luke Combs’ World Tour is coming to BC Place on Saturday, May 27th, so get ready to lace up your dancing boots, and don’t forget your cowboy hat!

Tove Lo
