It is almost sunny season, which means warm weather and pool days. The great news is one of Seattle’s beloved pools is almost open! Coleman Pool will be opening for preseason weekends starting on May 25th.

According to its website, Colman Pool will open for preseason weekends starting May 25 (Memorial Day weekend).

Additionally, the rental system for the pool is open now.

“Colman Pool is a summertime Seattle landmark you won’t want to miss,” states the city’s website. “The Olympic-size heated saltwater pool located just steps from the beach, boasts a corkscrew water slide, a diving board, and some of the freshest air and finest views in town.”

Of note, Colman Pool will be closed for swim meets June 27th-29th and July 12th-13th.

For those looking to rent it out, pool rentals are available on select dates from 7-8 pm, for up to 30 guests. The fee is $309.25, according to the City.

For now, also note that many Seattle Parks and Recreation facilities will be closed Monday, May 27, in observance of Memorial Day.

These facilities and services are CLOSED, as per the city’s Park & Rec:

  • Community centers and teen centers
  • Environmental learning centers
  • Indoor swimming pools
  • Green Lake Small Craft Center
  • Mount Baker Rowing and Sailing Center
  • Amy Yee Tennis Center

These facilities are OPEN on regular schedules, according to the city:

  • Parks
  • Boat ramps
  • Interbay, Jackson Park, Jefferson Park and West Seattle golf courses
  • Sprayparks
