Calgary’s East Village is already a pretty sweet place – but this month, the area is getting a sugar-coated upgrade!

Known for marble-like chocolates, colorful truffles, and expert use of local ingredients, Cochu (which is owned and operated by Anne Sellmer) has become a city favorite beloved for its special occasion treats – but big things are coming!

Some of you may be surprised to know that when Sellmer launched her line of bonbons in 2017, she did so out of her home kitchen – but no more!

Located between the National Music Centre and Calgary’s Central Library, Cochu is finally getting its very own flagship store and chocolate factory.

Set to open on June 25th, fans are encouraged to check out the grand opening of the vibrant new spot which has been fitted with a viewing window, a small seating space, and even year-round drinking chocolate on tap!

Sounds like some serious Willy Wonka business, right?

Believe us when we say that you won’t want to miss its big day!
