If you’re looking for a quieter Vancouver Island destination that offers visitors breathtaking vistas of orchards and ocean – look no further than the town of Cobble Hill in the Cowichan Valley.

Nestled in the foothills of Mill Bay, the picturesque town is surrounded by open pastures and family-owned vineyards. Due to the area’s ideal coastal climate, the town produces some of the world’s most unique, finest wine grapes, according to the Cowichan Valley Regional District.

Visitors can have a taste for themselves at several local vineyards, breweries, and cider farms. This includes Cherry Point Estate Wines (open for tastings daily from 10 am to 5 pm), and Merridale Cidery & Distillery – which is open from 11 am to 8 pm on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and until 6 pm on Mondays and Thursdays.
