A Nantucket-style resort sits along the shores of Georgian Bay in Ontario

I’ve said it once, and I will say it again — we don’t need to leave Ontario to experience a beautiful and relaxing vacation. Cobble Beach Resort looks like it is straight out of Nantucket, but it is instead nestled along the scenic shores of Georgian Bay just two and a half hours from Toronto.

The resort features 10 suites and five cottages, and is open year-round (though summer is certainly its most popular time of the year). Most of the suites overlook Georgian Bay, while the others boast views of the resort’s golf course.

“With a harmonious blend of luxury and homey comfort, Cobble Beach is a place where you can truly unwind and recharge,” shares Cobble Beach Resort.

Luxury and homey comfort are the perfect way to describe this getaway, and the amenities will further solidify that. Some of those amenities include:

  • 14 km of summer hiking trails
  • 18-hole golf course
  • Outdoor pool with waterfront views
  • A spa
  • Hot tub
  • Fitness centre
  • Steam room
  • Bike rentals
  • A dock
  • Private beach club with firepits
  • Bocce ball court
  • Volleyball court
  • Tennis courts

A perfect escape isn’t complete without amazing food, and of course, Cobble Beach has just that. The resort’s restaurant is called The Sweetwater Restaurant, open every day from 7:30 a.m. until 8 p.m. for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Just a few stand-out items on the menus are eggs Benedict, crispy pork belly, smoked salmon, fish and chips, braised short rib, chickpea curry, and arancini. Yummmmm.

So, if you’re looking for a fabulous place to vacation in Ontario, look no further.
