Coastal Jazz Fest is set to return this year with over 100 events!

After a year-long hiatus due to the pandemic, the Vancouver Coastal Jazz Festival recently announced that it’s coming back for 2021 with a huge lineup. Having shifted to a virtual focus this year, the fest aims to showcase the best talent in jazz from Vancouver and beyond!

So, the festival has not only found a bunch of local venues to live stream performances from, but will also being showing concerts from cities like New York, Amsterdam and Paris. In addition to the concerts, the truly devoted can sit in for workshops to learn more about the music.

While most of these concerts and workshops are free, there are a couple of events that will be ticketed. Luckily, these are some pretty big names, whether local or international. We’ll be honest, we’re not going to sit here and pretend that we know enough about jazz to comment. But we do know there’s a reason that the festival has been around for over 3 decades, and we’ve definitely enjoyed the concerts we have experienced. It’s one of those situations where whatever you pick, you’ll walk away happy you did.

So, we recommend exploring the festival lineup this year! Maybe you’ll see a name you recognize, or maybe you think a little jazz would go great with dinner one night. One thing’s for certain- you can’t go wrong with this amazing festival.

Coastal Jazz Festival 2021
