Spring begins on Tuesday, March 19th and what better way to refresh for the new season than by giving away some old clothing and getting pieces in exchange? Several organized clothing swaps are happening in Toronto this spring and you can be a part of them!

T.O The Good Swap

T.O The Good Swap puts on a monthly clothing swap at the Centre for Social Innovation.

This month’s exchange is taking place on March 23rd from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM.

Bring up to 10 items of preloved clothing, footwear, jewelry, and accessories in good condition and enjoy the swap!

When: March 23rd from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Where: Centre for Social Innovation Annex, 720 Bathurst St

From Here to Wear

From Here to Wear is a fair exchange meaning if you bring five items then you can take five items.

Clothing will go through a quality check if any items are unfit for the swap, it’ll be considered a “mendable” and will not be part of the exchange.

This is a “pay what you can” gathering with tickets available here.

When: March 21st from 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Where: Stackt Market, 28 Bathurst St

Drop, Swap and Shop

Evergreen Brick Works is holding a Drop, Swap and Shop experience where attendees can bring clothing, shoes and accessories in good repair to be exchanged.

This clothing swap is being held on April 20th with clothing drop-off times scheduled for:

  • April 18th from 12:00 PM – 6:30 PM
  • April 19th from 12:00 PM– 6:30 PM
  • April 20th from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

The clothing swap will run on a ticketing system. For every one item that you drop off, you’ll get one swap token in exchange for up to 20 tokens. If you don’t have any items to swap, you can purchase a token bundle (5 tokens for $10).

Tickets are available to purchase at the Drop Off Station during the item intake hours on April 18th and 19th and from 9:00 – 3:00 PM on April 20 costing $5.

She Shops Swap

She Shops Swap has two upcoming clothing exchange events.

Guests may contribute up to ten pre-owned or ‘new with tag’ items and will receive one ticket for each item contributed to the swap. Each ticket is used as currency on swap night.

The upcoming events are being held on May 5th at Stackt Market & June 4th in Leaside (time and location TBA.)

When: May 5th from 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM & June 4th, TBA
Where: Stackt Market, 28 Bathurst St & location TBA

Alternative All-Gender Clothing Swap

This clothing swap at Ground Control on Queen West will also feature a DJ!

The entry fee is $5 with a minimum of six clothing items, shoes, or accessories needed to exchange (in good condition.)

100% of funds from the event will be going to the Toronto Vegetarian Food Bank.

When: May 26th from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
