Spring has yet to arrive but we’re already getting ready for summer – well, the City of Toronto is. If you’re in need of a part-time summer job, the City is offering employment in recreation, aquatic and museum work.

Interested parties have until March 31st to apply for part-time summer recreation jobs. This includes opportunities from lifeguards to aquatics and fitness instructors to camp leaders and aquatic assistants, according to the City of Toronto.

“As the largest employer of youth and students, I am proud that the City of Toronto can offer thousands of good jobs at fair wages for anyone seeking part-time employment,” states Mayor Olivia Chow in a press release.

“These jobs are instrumental to the youth in our city. These jobs give our youth the opportunity to gain employment experience, create community connections and serve our city and its residents. These important employment opportunities connect people to a pathway to success.”

According to the City of Toronto, they are the largest recreation program provider, employing about 9,000 recreation workers annually. About 5,000 of those work during the summer season.
