Festive tunes on the radio, snow-capped outdoors, dazzling lights around every corner. It sure is beginning to look a lot like Christmas. And to make our season more festive, The Citadel Theatre is bringing back its musical extravaganza, A Christmas Carol by David van Belle.

Back by popular demand, the musical adaptation of Charles Dickens’ Christmas classic is returning to the theatre for its 4th year. And along come the exciting characters, the fun, sing-along tunes and an epic Christmas tale that will transport you into a magical era of films like It’s a Wonderful Life and Miracle on 34th Street.

Playing Ebenezer Scrooge this year is Edmonton’s very own and a Citadel-favourite, John Ullyatt. Yes, the same talented artist who delighted us last year as the Ghost of Christmas Present.

Frankly, given Citadel’s reputation, we don’t doubt that the rest of the cast would be just as talented. And that the musical this year will be yet another smash hit. After all, as one of the largest theatres in Canada, Citadel has been entertaining Edmontonians with spectacular productions for more than half a century now.

Anyway, David van Belle’s A Christmas Carol will be playing at the Maclab Theatre from Saturday, November 26th to Friday, December 23rd, 2022.
