A behind the scenes look at the return of Cirque du Soleil in Vancouver (PHOTOS)

Here we go, folks! After a 2-year hiatus, Cirque du Soleil is finally back in Vancouver, with shows kicking off this weekend. What’s more, it’s bringing a ‘reinvented’ version of one of its most popular shows. If you feel like you might need some dazzle in your life, then this should be right up your alley.

For this go around in the Big Top, Cirque du Soleil has revived its iconic ‘Alegria’ show. Originally created in 1994, and one of the most popular Cirque du Soleil shows of all time, Alegria presents a fallen kingdom during a moment of change, as old ideas (and those who hold them) are usurped by ‘youth in revolt’. Sounds fun!

Naturally, the show will feature incredible costumes, some humour sprinkled in, but most importantly, incredible displays of acrobatic skill. Throughout the show, you’ll be treated to a variety of acts, ranging from classics like jugglers and contortionists, all the way to flaming batons and trapeze performances.
