Nothing beats catching a flick at the movies! And when our movie-watching experiences get upgraded, we can’t help but get excited. That being said, a Cineplex location in Toronto got a new upgrade and just opened its newest IMAX auditorium.
Cineplex Cinemas Yonge-Eglinton and VIP is where you’ll find the theatre chain’s newest IMAX location.
This marks the seventh IMAX theatre in Toronto (including the since-closed Ontario Science Centre), and 11th in the GTA.

IMAX offers audiences an extraordinary combination of what Cineplex describes as “heart-pounding audio and crystal clear images on their expansive screens, transcending the typical cinema atmosphere.
Enhanced Experiences such as UltraAVX, D-BOX, VIP Cinemas, and RealD 3D are also available at the Yonge-Eglinton theatre.
Guests can currently watch Madame Web at the Eglinton location on the new IMAX screen. And once Dune 2 is released next week, you can watch it on the big screen, as it was meant to be watched.
