A huge Lunar New Year celebration will take place in Calgary’s downtown & it sounds incredible

February is here and it’s not alone! This month brings several holidays, activities and opportunities to learn, support each other and grow.

From Black History Month to Valentine’s Day, there is much to commemorate, but how will you ring in the Year of the Dragon?

One of the largest celebrations in the city, the Chinese New Year festival in downtown Calgary is an event of epic proportions.

Featuring lion and dragon dances, martial arts demonstrations, singers and dancers, this annual experience is not one to be missed.

In addition, there will also be local vendors, a lucky raffle, traditional handcrafts and calligraphy demonstrations.
