Toronto’s getting a new spot for halal fried chicken and it’s opening to the public sometime this month. Following its opening in Mississauga, the Dubai-based fast food chain ChickQueen grew in popularity and has its eyes set for expansion across the province.

ChickQueen reveals it will open its first downtown Toronto location this September however its location has not been disclosed.

“We’re grateful for the positive response we continue to receive from our Canadian customers. After satisfying millions of customers’ taste buds around the globe, we are now excited to expand our restaurants to Toronto Downtown,” said Amir Waheed, president of ChickQueen Canada.

Not only is it planning to open its first downtown location this year, but ChickQueen will also be opening in Scarborough later in 2022.

According to its site, we can expect new locations to pop up in Etobicoke, Brampton, Milton, Markham, Richmond Hill, Ajax, Kitchener, and Oakville.

ChickQueen plans to open 50 locations across Canada by 2025, creating about 200 to 250 full-time and part-time jobs.
