Chick-fil-A is planning to open 20 more locations across Canada

If you’ve ever driven past the Chick-fil-A on Bloor Street in recent months, you’ve seen the lineup out the door pretty much every day of the week. It’s no secret that this restaurant chain is one of the city’s most popular (despite being controversial). Now, along with opening three new locations in Ontario, Chick-fil-A is aiming to open 20 more spots across the country.

Chick-fil-A put out an official press release detailing the expansion, with two new Toronto locations at Scarborough Town Centre and at Queen & Spadina. On top of that, a third will be heading to the nearby city Kitchener, Ontario. The new restos are set to open later this year.

Along with the over 200 full and part-time jobs the new locations are creating, they’re also running a stellar initiative. For every new restaurant, Chick-fil-A plans to donate $25,000 to a local food bank nearby. They’re also running their Shared Table program to help alleviate hunger and reduce food waste. It might not make up for the controversies that intially plagued the company’s entrance into Canada, but it’s a start.

Now, back to the other locations across Canada! Although the release is a little short on specifics, it looks like Chick-fil-A is planning to ad 20 locations across Canada by 2025. Odds are we can expect locations in major cities like Calgary, Vancouver, and more. Looks like we’ve got a whole lot of fried chicken in our future!
