Check out this citywide celebration of local business in Vancouver!

If you’re itching to explore your city this weekend, then you should definitely know about the Vancouver BIA Week that’s currently going on. Things kicked off on Wednesday, and will be available throughout the weekend! Here’s what you need to know about this great initiative.

The Vancouver BIA Week is devoted to showcasing the businesses and neighbourhoods that make our city such an amazing place to live. So, first off, we suggest checking in with your local Business Improvement Association to see what’s going on in your neighbourhood this weekend.

And, the easiest way to do that is by following them on Instagram. Don’t just follow one though- instead, follow five and enter a draw for a prize pack of gift cards to some of Vancouver’s best restaurants, valued at $550! And, for every entry (which is free), $1 will be donated to Mind the Bar, a local charity that provides support to Vancouver’s service workers. But hurry- the contest is only on until this Sunday, April 11th.

So to recap, you can explore your neighbourhood this weekend, learn more about what other neighbourhoods are doing this summer, and maybe win a few free meals while you’re doing it! We don’t know about you, but that sounds like a pretty good deal to us.
