These magical cottages are hidden in an Alberta forest & they look like they belong in a fairytale

In a perfect world, we’d have our very own woodland cottage – but we’ll happily settle for a rental. This fall, those seeking a fairytale staycation will no doubt find it at Charmed Resorts, an Alberta gem with cozy cabins inspired by everyone’s favourite bedtime stories.

Located just outside of Lethbridge, Charmed Resorts opened in 2020 with their Midsummer Cottage and has quickly expanded to include several magic homes, each one more impressive than the last.

From a real-life gingerbread palace to Rapunzel’s Cottage, Rumpelstiltskin’s Tower, and even a vacation home with its very own beanstalk, Charmed has continued to grow and they really show no signs of stopping.

According to their website, they’ve recently started to accept bookings for “Wonder Way,” where guests can choose between the lost boys’ treehouse, Wendy’s townhouse, Belle’s cottage, and Hook’s pirate ship.

The very best part? Starting at just $230 /per night, these rentals are pretty affordable and can all sleep a family of 4.

With a kitchenette, bathroom, and a warm bed in every home, not only will your next getaway be super dreamy, but you’ll be comfortable. In fact, you’ll even have access to a wood-fired hot tub, so consider your stay relaxing as well!

Our only advice? Book ASAP – they can get pretty busy, especially when the weather is beautiful and you won’t want to miss out.

Good luck, Alberta and maybe we’ll see out there! We’ve been told we’re a wonderful neighbor.
