According to Sir Sam’s Ski, wintertime isn’t the only occasion when you can hop on a chairlift and reach the top of a mountain – or rather a hill, in this case.
If you’re coming from Toronto, it’ll take you about three hours to get to Eagle’s Lake, where Sir Sam’s Ski is located. And it’s just 30 mins longer than Toronto, if you’re coming from Ottawa.
But trust us, it’s an experience you don’t want to miss out on.

Riders will get the chance to take in panoramic views of Eagle and Moose Lakes, and of course, the Haliburton Highlands, as they head up the hill.
“As you coast serenely through the air, you may also catch glimpses of some of the local wildlife who call Sir Sam’s home,” shares the site.
“Mountain bikers below often provide no shortage of entertainment as they challenge our 23km of trails.”
