All eyes are on deck with this exciting artist residency in Toronto. The folks behind Pirate Life Theatre – an interactive pirate theatre experience in Toronto and Ottawa – are offering a chance for local musicians to find an audience on the waterfront.

The paid opportunity invites artists to rehearse, create, and perform dockside all summer long. It’s an awesome chance to break out of the year-long rut of performing within your own four walls. Plus, would wouldn’t want to live it up on a pirate ship this summer?

So, here’s how it works. Every evening until the beginning of September, the floating pirate ship will host local artists at the waterfront. Us regular folks can head on down to the dock to enjoy their performance from a distance. It’s an awesome outdoor activity that is COVID-19 safe and tons of fun. Oh, and it’s also completely free – so, there’s literally no downside!

If you’re a performer who’d like to participate, all you have to do is submit a statement of interest here. Pirate Life has their crew of submission reviewers and will let you know if you’re going to be scheduled. Who knows, maybe we’ll be watching you dockside this summer!

COVID-19 guidelines will apply, which you can read more about right here.
