If you’re looking to catch a break from Netflix you can check out the 24th annual Local Sightings Film Festival next month. The festival showcases creative communities throughout the Pacific Northwest. It’s a great way to see both new and old talent, support the regional film industry, and promote diverse media!

This year’s festival will have 11 feature film programs, 15 short film blocks, workshops, and special events! You’ll be able to see the works of filmmakers from as far as British Columbia, Oregon, and even Montana. That means you’ll be able to see films from all sorts of different backgrounds with all kinds of different themes.

To make things even better you’ll actually be able to enjoy some in-person events at the NWFF space on Capitol Hill. But if you’d like to keep things at home you can still check everything out online via Eventive. To make things accomodating to festival-goers, NWFF is offering virtual, in-person, and hybrid passes. Keep in mind you will need to show your proof of vaccination and also wear a mask at in-person events.

It’s going to be a great festival and one that you definitely don’t want to miss out on. If you’re already sure that you want to attend we recommend grabbing tickets now as you can get early bird tickets until August 16th. With that, enjoy folks, and be sure to let us know what your favorite movie ends up being.
