If you enjoy revisiting the iconic Twilight movies from time to time – ironically or unironically – we don’t judge! In fact, you might be surprised to learn that British Columbia is featured a handful of times in the saga, including the final film, Breaking Dawn Part 2.

Located in a 22-hectare park just east of Mission is Cascade Falls, a stunning waterfall with a free-to-access suspension bridge offering spectacular views of its 30-metre drop. It’s this waterfall that Bella (Kristen Stewart) is pictured jumping over just after becoming a vampire!

The scene can be viewed starting at the 0:30 mark below:

The falls change with the seasons, partially freezing over during the winter months – surrounded by icicles and snow. So if you’re keen on visiting a winter paradise and want to check out a cool piece of Twilight lore, this is your spot.

How to access the falls

The falls are accessible via a one-kilometre steep incline walk through a forested trail, which leads to viewing platforms and the creekside suspension bridge.

Note that the regional park is open to visitors from 7 a.m. to sunset, and dogs must be kept on a leash at all times here.

So there you have it, winter explorers! How’s that for your next fall/winter road trip?!
