A new dining destination for luxe Mexican cuisine is about to open in the city. Casa Madera will bring the flavours of the Riviera Maya to the downtown core this April, adjacent to the recently-opened 1 Hotel Toronto.
Casa Madera, created by Los Angeles-based hospitality and lifestyle company Noble 33, will serve highly creative twists on Mexican coastal cuisine inspired by the elements of earth, air, fire, and water.
“The Mayan Riviera has established itself as a highly influential food region, and at Casa Madera, we will transport guests there through a fully immersive dining experience, delighting guests with something unique each night,” said Noble 33 co-founder Tosh Berman in a press release.

Using ingredients from local purveyors, Casa Madera will feature a variety of statement dishes including a 44oz Wagyu cut, fire-roasted Pacifico Striped Bass with mouthwatering sides like potato confit, and fennel citrus salad. The menu will also feature vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and keto options.
Some of the dishes are also finished tableside, “bringing an element of visual excitement and theatrics to the dining room,” the description says.
Casa Madera will also have an extensive cocktail and wine menu that fuse the earth’s elements with premium tequilas and spirits.
This is the first Casa Madera location to open in Canada, with another location planned in West Hollywood in 2022. Noble 33 also operates Toca Madera and Sparrow Italia locations in L.A., with new locations set to open in Las Vegas and London this year.
The restaurant is already accepting reservations ahead of the grand opening, so if you’re eager to give this place a try, you can book your spot now.
