Get ready for some fire in your drinks, Toronto. Casa Madera is finally opening its doors, and the new dining destination delivers an immersive dining experience.

Opening on April 5, Casa Madera is located downtown Toronto and adjacent to the recently-opened 1 Hotel. The new spot is said to bring the flavours of the Riviera Maya to the downtown core. Created by Los Angeles-based hospitality and lifestyle company Noble 33, the dining destination serves highly creative twists on Mexican coastal cuisine inspired by the elements of earth, air, fire, and water.

And when it comes to fire, it definitely delivers.

Casa Madera has an extensive cocktail and wine menu that fuse the earth’s elements with premium tequilas and spirits. No spoilers here, but depending which route you go with your drink of choice, there is a high chance of some flames on the side. For fans of an Old Fashioned, Casa Madera serves up a not-to-miss make your own drink.

Using ingredients from local purveyors, Casa Madera has a variety of statement dishes including a 44oz Wagyu cut, fire-roasted Pacifico Striped Bass with mouthwatering sides like potato confit, and fennel citrus salad. The menu also features vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and keto options.

Just like the cocktails, some of the dishes are also finished tableside, “bringing an element of visual excitement and theatrics to the dining room.”

This is the first Casa Madera location to open in Canada, with another location planned in West Hollywood in 2022. Noble 33 also operates Toca Madera and Sparrow Italia locations in L.A., with new locations set to open in Las Vegas and London this year.
