Toronto’s Legends of Horror returns & it’s got a spooky new activation

Halloween season is almost upon us and that means it’s time to get ready to face our fears at one of Toronto’s most terrifying haunting experiences of the year. Casa Loma’s Legends of Horror returns and it’s back bigger than ever before with a new zombified installation.

Now in its seventh year, Casa Loma will transform into what nightmares are made of and celebrate all things Halloween starting this month.

Experience the two-kilometre walking trail that takes you through the ultimate darkness, dimly lit tunnels, and some of the most haunted spaces you can imagine. Walk past ghoulish characters as you make your way through the gardens, down to the basement of the historic castle and apparently haunted stables.

You’ll need to regain your strength at some point so expect the castle’s Glass Pavilion to reopen as the Captain Morgan Bar and Lounge. Chill out for a bit and enjoy some drinks and themed food before you begin the trail again.

New for this year is the immersive Zombie Apocalypse. Definitely not for the faint of heart. This experience, in partnership with Secret City Adventures is Toronto’s newest and largest zombie-themed haunted house.

“Our guests will discover some chilling new surprises in the 2022 production of Legends and Zombie Apocalypse,” added Nadia Di Donato, vice president, and creative director, of Liberty Entertainment Group. “We have scoured the globe for the most terrifying new creative elements and the production teams have outdone themselves this year. We expect the shows will mesmerize Halloween’s biggest fans, with the promise that no two visitor experiences will be alike.”

Fans of the undead are welcome to experience the 45-minute activation as they uncover horrifying secrets of the fictional
pharmaceutical giant, Biolux, and its new wonder drug: the Biolux Serum. You can find this gem in an abandoned facility south of Casa Loma at 175 Kendal Avenue. It’ll run from October 13 to November 5 from 6 pm to 11 pm.

Tickets are now on sale and start at $35 plus tax online for family hours and $45 plus tax online for standard hours. For more information, click here.
