Carly Rae Jepsen used to work at this iconic Vancouver cafe

Plenty of celebrities like Seth Rogen, Finn Wolfhard, and more who call Vancouver their home have plenty of food recommendations for people living in or visiting the city.
Among those celebrities is musician Carly Rae Jepsen, who not only has plenty of recommendations for people looking to eat and drink around the city, but also worked at one of her recommended establishments before becoming famous.
In a recent episode of Las Culturistas, the podcast hosted by Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang, guest Carly Rae Jepsen gave a special shoutout to Vancouver cafe chain Trees Organic Coffee, where she used to work before becoming famous.
It all started when Rogers asked Jepsen for recommendations on food, as he will be coming to Vancouver in December for his tour, This Time It’s Really Christmas. Yang piped up to give a shoutout to Lunch Lady, which Jepsen followed by giving a recommendation for Aphrodite’s Organic Pie Shop before recommending Trees Organic Coffee.
“I was a barista until the pastry chef ran off with an internet lover, and then I became the pastry chef,” she told the duo. “I made Vancouver’s number one best cheesecake.”
Yang then followed up by asking what was in the cheesecake, which Jepsen responded with, “A lot of cream cheese.”
“And I bet they were perfect and delicious,” added Rogers.
