Seattle is full of amazing parks, and scenic beaches.  While there are so many places to choose from, it’s likely that we’re all a bit set in our ways. So why not check out a park you’ve probably heard of but may have not been to before? Somewhere like Carkeek Park!

Carkeek Park is located in north Seattle, just a bit further north than the extremely popular Golden Gardens Park.

Once there, you’ll be able to enjoy sweeping views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains with less crowds. If you need more than just the view, there are over 220 acres of land to explore.

“Here, 220 acres of lush forest, meadows, wetlands, creeks, and beach are formed by the magic of water and time,” says the city.

“Come take part in an education program, have a picnic, or get involved as a volunteer teacher or as part of an outdoor work party. Walk the Pipers Canyon Story Trail, play on the uniquely salmon themed play area, or touch time at the historic Piper Orchard.”

The park is free to visit and open daily so all you have to do to visit is hop in your car or on the bus!
