Walk it out: This Calgary community will be car free this Sunday

When you live in the big city, every once in a while it’s nice to get back to the basics. This weekend, throw it back in the Calgary community of Inglewood, where they’ll be hosting a car-free Sunday in support of small businesses.

A ‘good for all’ initiative, not only will the upcoming CFS get people out and about, enjoying fresh air and exercise, but it will also help encourage people to visit local shops along the way.

From restaurants and clothing boutiques to cafes and antique stores, owners will be given the opportunity to extend their business out onto the sidewalk and visitors will have more room to roam.

In addition to this, buskers will take to the streets to play familiar music, entertaining those grabbing a bite to eat outdoors.

Interested in checking it out? The city and the Inglewood BIA have designated alternate parking areas, so keep your eye open for signage and enjoy!

You’re in for quite the self-guided tour!
