The historic 1909 Capitol Hill Fisher Mansion is for sale & is full of original detail

Yet another slice of Seattle history has hit the market, a 1909 Tudor Revival home known as the Fisher Mansion is on the market and could be yours. The Capitol Hill gem retains much of its original character and has some added funkiness from its long life. Let’s take a look.

With 9 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, and 10,087 square feet, this home is truly a mansion. It’s part of the Hill’s Harvard-Belmont district and is somewhat tucked away despite being in the heart of the city.

It was originally designed by the Beezer Brothers, a “Seattle architectural firm with many commissions across Washington state, most notably in Walla Walla” according to HistoryLink. The duo were active in Seattle from 1907 to 1923. Probably their most notable building in Seattle (outside of this home of course) is Edward J. O’Dea High School.

Luckily the home still maintains much of its original detail and intricate stained glass windows.

There are also exquisite hardwood floors, paneling, and moldings.

Now, the home does have some modern additions, several suites with their own kitchenettes. It’s also worth noting that there’s a separate 1 bedroom carriage house meaning this home has rent potential or multi-generational living.

Some of the home’s other features include a billiards room, sun room, multiple offices, a 4-car garage, and an amazing rooftop deck. As you might expect from the home’s location it also has stunning views of the Olympics, Lake Union, Gas Works Park, and the Space Needle.

We understand if you need to have it, but keep in mind it’s currently listed for $4.850 million with Compass. Happy house hunting!
