Capitol Hill just got a whole lot funnier. Seattle’s first club dedicated to becoming a community hub for the comedy scene is open now just north of Capitol Hill Station. Here’s what to know about the new Comedy / Bar.

Comedy / Bar opened on May 6th in the former Highline Bar space at 210 Broadway E. The space happens to be neighbors with axe-tossing bar Blade and Timber.

Overall, the venue aims to “provide a platform for local comedians to showcase their talent and entertain audiences.” Guests will be able to enjoy entertainment six nights a week, ranging from open mics to trivia, bingo, karaoke, and local stand-up comedy shows. On weekends, there will be community events and workshops dedicated to cultivating the next generation of Seattle talent.

The space has a capacity of 200 people, with “an industrial vibe.”

Beyond comedy and entertainment, guests can enjoy inventive, classic cocktails as well as beer, cider, wine, and non-alcoholic cocktails. What’s more, the balcony that overlooks Broadway will also be reopened, meaning you have prime people watching on one of Capitol Hill’s busiest streets.

Ticket’s are on sale now for regularly scheduled shows at Comedy / Bar.
