Hang on tight: Alberta’s first & only alpine coaster is reopening this month

We live in a thrilling province with plenty to do, see and experience but there’s truly nothing like the Alberta Canyon Coaster – which is gearing up for an exciting second season of adrenaline!

The first and only ride of its kind in Wild Rose Country, this fast-moving excursion opened last year and now that spring has sprung, will return this May.

Set to open on Victoria Day long weekend, the Canyon Coaster is approximately 1,345 metres, can travel at a speed of 40 km/hr and has a 439-foot vertical drop in total.

If of course, that’s too fast for you, each rider does have their own brake that they can press at any time while on the long winding track to slow things down.

Interested? According to their website, the Canyon Coaster is fun for all ages and physical capabilities over the age of 3 – as long as they’re accompanied by a responsible person aged 16.

If you have more questions about their safety precautions including cart capacity and height limitations, you can check those out below and enjoy!

It’s going to be a blast.
