Canmore is experiencing a food scene ‘heatwave’ & here’s what we know

Gear up y’all, the temperature in and around Canmore is soaring sky-high. And we know exactly why. Our very own, Calgary-born, Nashville Hot Chicken shop, Flirty Bird has finally landed in Canmore. And so have its red hot Scorchin’ FLiRT levels!

After recently venturing into the province capital, the popular resto-bar has just set up shop in Canmore’s awesomest area, aka Main Street. This will be the sixth location this spicy bird has flown to including the four in Calgary and the one in Edmonton. Spoiler alert, there’s more coming your way!

The newest location continues to serve up authentic Nashville Hot Chicken in all the fan fave Flirty forms− The Sando, The Tenders and Flirty Fries. Yes, the classic sides will also be part of the menu. Let’s face it, when is a Nashville Hot Chicken meal (or any fried chicken meal for that matter) ever complete without a liberal portion of crinkle cut fries or macaroni salad, eh?

Along with their simple yet excruciatingly delicious menu come all six of their heat levels- starting from no FLiRT all the way up to Scrochin’ FLiRT. As is anybody’s guess, the no FLiRT has no heat whatsoever while the other end is only to be experimented by the bravest of palates.

And because everything tastes better with a little (or a lot) booze, these spicy, flavourful delights will be served alongside a rotating selection of beer and wine.

The restaurant officially opened its doors to the public on March 17. So whether you’re on a lil’ road trip with the gang or looking for a great spot to relax after a hike, be sure to check Flirty Bird out!
