Ready for your daily dose of adorable? A man in Saskatoon just caught a beaver stealing his Canada flag. The whole thing was captured on video and posted on YouTube for the world to enjoy. In the nearly 2 minute video you can watch the whole ordeal go down.
YouTube user Mike’s Videos of Beavers is the channel behind the adorable event. In the video, you can hear Mike narrate the whole situation. Apparently, he put up the flag on the beaver trail, just hoping to get a cool photo of it with a beaver for Canada Day. His expectations were far exceeded when the beaver who strolled up had other plans in mind.

As you’ll see in the video, the beaver, who Mike affectionately refers to as “Spud”, first adorably stands on guard under the flag. Then Spud steals the flag altogether and ran away! Apparently, this particular beaver is known for her curiosity over human things, so the surprising twist was right on brand.
Mike told CBC news that he ran after her so that the flag wouldn’t end up as garbage in the pond.
