YYC is an ever-changing, ever-expanding city. From its people, its communities, and its impressive list of original things to do, we’ve become a city that seemingly never sleeps. Just in the last year, we’ve gotten a ton of new restaurants, several new buildings and have broken ground on a project unique not only to Calgary but to Canada.
LaunchPad Golf is opening a pair of brand new TopGolf-like entertainment facilities that will feature TopTracer technology so you can track your ball flight like the pros. The LaunchPad Golf location at Mickelson National Golf Club features 16 hitting bays and is expected to be finished later in the summer of 2021.
The bigger of the two facilities will be located at Heritage Pointe Golf Course, and construction has finally begun with a completion date scheduled for early 2022.

The Heritage Pointe location is bound to be a hit, with 40 hitting bays fitted with TopTracer technology, two large bars, and even a restaurant that will be brought to life with a little help from Chef Mike Pigot, a local legend and literal grill master.
“I am extremely proud to bring this exciting experience to all Albertans,”,” said Barry Ehlert, CEO of LaunchPad Golf. “This will be an outing like no other in the market!”
Also, if you’re not a golf pro don’t worry! This facility is meant for everyone no matter your skill level – it’s essentially an arcade of sorts.
You only have to take it seriously if you want to – and thank goodness, because we’re still learning how to hold a golf club.
Anywho – get stoked, Calgary! This is major and we cannot wait to see you all out there. It won’t be long!
When: Late summer 2021 (Mickelson) & early 2022 (Heritage Pointe)
