Canada’s very first Club Med Resort set to open to the public later this year

Hello fellow sweatpants wearers, and welcome to your daily dose of the outside world! It’s not every day that we get excited about a new waterfront mountain experience, so buckle up and get ready to learn more about Canada’s first Club Med at Québec Charlevoix.

Opening on December 3, 2021 (we hope), this is Club Med’s first resort in Canada. Gone are the days where us sad Canadians lust over our American neighbours’ vacations. Take that, Florida man! Your Club Med Sandpiper Bay can’t even compare to Quebec’s natural wonders. (Also, can you chill?)

You may be wondering what the natural wonders are, so let’s dive into it. Essentially, this new resort will offer a new skiing experience. If you can imagine yourself sliding down the slopes with a breathtaking view of the St Lawrence River, then you’ll probably want to book yourself in. They don’t call this “the most spectacular skiing east of the Rockies” for nothin’!

Oh– and did we mention their 75-foot-long heated pool?! This is the biggest pool in a Club Med mountain resort, with a magnificent view of the St. Lawrence River. Throw in a kids’ splash pool for playtime, an outdoor jacuzzi, an à la carte well-being experience inspired by Nordic spas, massages, treatments and a charming snow fountain, and you’ve got yourself a wicked package.

For all you inside types, though, the resort’s architecture and restaurant is gonna be pretty sweet too. It combines modernity with traditional Canadian style, with locally-sourced materials making up its base. Lose yourself in the pretty wood, stone, and tile as it’s bathed in natural sunlight. Or take a selfie in it. The world’s your oyster!

At this point, you’re probably trying to decide who to take with you. We know, we know– it’s a tough call. Luckily, Club Med is designed with packages, services and accommodations for families, couples, singles, friends AND “Meetings & Events” groups… whatever that means. Basically, your crew is bound to find something that works within Club Med’s 302 rooms and 25 suites.
