Toronto’s swanky new boutique hotel by Hilton is officially open (PHOTOS)

The long-awaited Canopy by Hilton Toronto Yorkville Hotel has officially opened its doors.

Canada’s first Canopy by Hilton Hotel is a 184-room boutique hotel is located at 387 Bloor Street East.

The hotel features a modern café with retail goodies from local businesses on the main floor, a restaurant with views of Bloor Street and the Rosedale Valley, an indoor heated pool, yoga, fitness rooms, and more.

“The hotel with its premium location will bring a unique blend of luxury, convenience, and urban living, offering a new way for guests near and far to experience the city,” said Reetu Gupta, Chairwoman, and Ambassadress of The Gupta Group and Easton’s Group of Hotels.

“Nestled between the picturesque Yorkville neighbourhood and the wooded Rosedale neighbourhood, Canopy Toronto Yorkville offers guests an exciting new way to experience the city.”

As for the overall design of the hotel, led by Studio Munge, the interiors feature “curved edges and organic motifs,” according to the announcement.

“This will be complemented by an impressive local art collection, which illustrates the intricate connection between nature, people, and urbanism,” reads the release.

“As part of the experience, guest rooms will be called “Just-Right Rooms” because they provide intuitive comfort with a place for everything.”

The hotel takes over the second to ninth floors, while the remainder of the 55 floors will serve as residential units.

As for the restaurants, the main-floor dining concept called Día serves seasonal fare, eclectic wines and spirits, as well as memorable cheeses, Roman-style pizza and more.

At Día, guests and visitors can come enjoy Canopy’s bespoke tasting experiences.

The on-site cafe is called Virtu Café & Provisions and is set to open a few months from now. It will serve purposefully sourced, locally inspired dishes.
