40 floors above it all, Calgary’s Major Tom Bar has had an incredible month. Not only have they landed on enRoute’s list of best new restaurants for 2022, but they also were featured for having Canada’s best cocktail.
Located on Stephen Avenue, Major Tom opened in June of 2021 and has since become an inner-city hotspot – though we can’t say we’re surprised.
Not only did the group behind the restaurant open Pigeonhole, one of the city’s most beloved spots – they also conceptualized Ricardos and National.

So – what drink turned heads at the sky-high publication?
According to award-winning journalist, Nancy Matsumoto – Canada’s best cocktail is the ‘All The Way Up,” a tasty twist on an old favourite.
An amber sip with Suntory Toki whiskey, apricot liqueur. amaro Montenegro and pistachio, this Major Tom original is compatible to a Manhattan – just… better.
