Given Canada is such a welcoming, and awesome, place it makes sense that people from around the world feel safe, secure and at home here. At least according to a recent study by HSBC, Canada is one of the top countries in the world for expats.

But, this doesn’t’ change the fact that people from around the world find Canada a great place to live. According to the report, it was found that 37% of respondents felt aligned with the local country. We were tied with France and New Zealand on this front.

The number one most popular countries for expats is, unsurprisingly, Switzerland. The report found it first in things like schooling, economic stability, and overall quality of life.

  5. Spain
  6. Qatar
  7. The Netherlands
  8. Australia
  9. Canada
  10. Ireland

An important thing to mention is that this study was conducted during the pandemic, so these things might shift as we slowly make our way out of it.
