Canada’s top employers for young people have been revealed! If you’re looking for a job or want a change in career, you’ll be glad to know that these companies and organizations are currently hiring.

Organizers of the annual Canada’s Top 100 Employers competition have released this year’s list, dedicated to young people.  The competition is now in its 23rd year and it recognizes employers across the country “that lead their industries in offering exceptional workplaces and programs for young people starting their careers.”

Starting your career, especially after graduating, can be a terrifying thought! It’s encouraging to hear that there are companies out there that are more than willing to help launch your career and growth.

Some of these winners have also created programs that offer new grads the chance to work in different areas of the organization before they decide on the right one for them.

“Young people entering the workforce for the first time have a curiosity to explore different roles, so they can find what best aligns with their interests and career goals,” said Chantel Watkins, assistant editor at Mediacorp.

Other employers have even prioritized soft skills training. This allows young people to improve their interpersonal communication skills, public speaking, and other social aspects.

Besides these new additions, according to organizers of the list, employers are also chosen based on benefits. Think tuition assistance and co-op/work-study programs, mentorship and training programs, and bonuses for completing trades or professional designations.

Since there are a number of companies on this list, I’ve put together a list of 15 top employers for young people in Canada that are currently hiring.

Happy hunting!
