When it comes to the best travelling destinations, a few places come to mind – especially for fans of the great outdoors. If you’re looking for the next best spot to feed your hunger for all things nature, Canada has been listed among the top 10 best places for outdoor lovers to travel in 2023.

Inspired by a report from Hilton, Hipcamp has updated its Fresh Air Living Index for 2023 which ranks the best places for outdoor enthusiasts looking to live and travel, next year.

According to the Hilton report, it revealed that 50% of respondents want their 2023 travels “to address their mental or physical well-being.” That being said, Hipcamp compiled the list of countries by analyzing a number of factors such as its Environmental Sustainability Ranking, Natural UNESCO Sites, attractiveness, air pollution, quality of green arks and paces, percentage of area that is protected and natural tourism digital demand.

Out of 87 countries across the globe, Canada managed to score among the top 10. Our beloved country came in ninth, just behind Portugal and ahead of Switzerland, surprisingly.

And for those looking for a little winter getaway, Toronto, ON; Vancouver, B.C; Montreal, QC were just voted most popular domestic travel destinations for Canadians right now.
