Preparing for business school is an intimidating and daunting task. For one, you have to modify your prep for each school. For two, it is hard to figure out if a particular school or program is the right fit for you. But The MBA Tour has you covered on every account.
Now, if you’ve spent any time preparing for an MBA, you obviously are familiar with The MBA Tour. But just in case you aren’t, let us fill you in.
The MBA Tour is a subsidiary of GMAC (Graduate Management Admission Council). They host events that bring top Business Schools and prospective candidates together.
And when we say “top Business Schools” we mean it. Think the likes of Wharton, Harvard Business School, Columbia Business School, Chicago Booth, Berkeley, London Business School, Rotman, Boston University and many more.
Here’s a peak at what you can expect from these events—
You can talk with reps from all schools in an intimate setting. This includes the rep, you and up to six other candidates. From program-related queries to school culture, this is your first step to knowing if the school is a good fit for you.
As the name suggests, these are panel presentations on various topics of interest led by school reps. The topics could vary from school portfolio to admission criteria and everything in between.
These are also school rep-led presentations, only these are strictly program related and are a lot more in-depth. Plus, at the end of these talks, there is a Q&A session. So, you can ask away all your concerns.
The event gives you a chance for a one-on-one session with an expert on how you can improve your application. This is a crucial step that will help you stand out from the thousands of other applicants.
This is where you can finally network and connect with school reps, alumni, event partners, and fellow applicants. And much like any other mixer, this one boasts of a chill, relaxed vibe with food and bevies.
Last but not least, each event will feature a professional photographer so you can freshen up your headshot on LinkedIn or your resume.
The MBA Tour is hosting a series of events throughout Canada this September. These events are happening in-person, so be sure to check out their events calendar to find one near you! .
