It’s official, this Canadian destination is one of the best worldwide vacation spots for couples – according to a new list, that is. If you’re looking for a winter getaway, Canada is where its at, apparently.
Travel media brand, Travel+Leisure unveiled it’s top picks for the 25 best worldwide vacation spots for couples. And among the list of countries in Europe and traditional tropical getaways, a snowy mountainous region in Canada was listed.
“When deciding where to venture with your significant other, you’ll want to consider which components of a romantic getaway matter most to you, from interesting sites and adventurous activities to intimate settings and stunning views,” shares the site. And that’s true.
That’s why they’ve considered every type of vacation spot for all kinds of couples. On the list you’ll find destinations like Tulum, Mexico; Hakone, Japan; Porto, Portugal and more. Among them is Whistler, Canada.

According to the site, “a great way to bond as a couple is by getting active, and skiing on Whistler and Blackcomb mountains is great for both veteran and beginner skiers alike.”
Those who love the winter season and love a bit of a thrill, would enjoy a skii trip with their beloved. Stunning views, lunch at the mid-mountain lodge, and strolling through Whistler Village, T+L suggests checking out the ‘lively’ environment filled with bars, shops, and restaurants.
