Calgary’s Burwood Distillery just inked a major deal on Dragon’s Den

The panel of business moguls on Dragon’s Den are notoriously difficult to impress but on last night’s episode, YYC’s Burwood Distillery managed to win them over – making a 1 million dollar deal with fellow Calgarian, Arlene Dickenson, in exchange for 25% of their company.

Honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better rep for our city on the show. Burwood has been long committed to celebrating Alberta’s agriculture and they do it incredibly well. For these guys to do as well as they have, we’re hardly surprised.

From their unique way of distilling their honey gin to their farm-to-table ideals and charming lounge, Burwood, without a doubt deserves not only their sweet new Dragon’s Den deal but the spotlight as well.

“2020 has been a challenging year all round. We have had a lot of hardship, but through some strong partnerships within our local community and with a great team on our side, we’ve managed to pull off some great wins,” co-founder Ivan Cilic said in a press release.

This is a pretty great win and an incredible way to end the year, so congrats, folks! This is major and we can’t wait to see where it’ll take you!
