The holidays are nearly here and it’s going to be a busy one! Luckily, for those travelling within the downtown area or who don’t have access to a vehicle – the city has announced they’re making it even easier to get from one place to another on Christmas day via Calgary Transit!

As confirmed on Social Media, Calgary Transit will be totally free to use on Sunday, December 25th no matter where you’re headed!

Before you jump for joy, however, there are a few things to note!

First, on-demand services will be closed in Carrington/Livingston and Springbank Hill and various routes including MAX Orange, Yellow, Teal and Purple will be running every 20-45 minutes.

Additionally, trains will only run every 15 minutes until 10 pm, when instead, they will run every 30 minutes – so plan ahead, and dress warm!
