There’s no better duo than summertime sun and a sweet melty treat and this June, Calgary’s Meals on Wheels will return with their big YYC Summer Scoop Festival!

Like the YYC Hot Chocolate Fest, this week-long event will feature unique creations, fantastic flavours, and the tastiest toppings in the city.

Set to kick off on the 30th, YYC Summer Scoop Fest will showcase a ton of Calgary’s best and most beloved shops and will encourage participants to enjoy as many treats as they can before the end of the event.

Then. after all is munched and melted, ice cream lovers will be asked to award their faves with one of three titles: YYC’s Best Scoop overall, the best non-dairy scoop, and ‘Golden Scoop.’

The best part is that $1 – $3 from every item sold will support Calgary Meals on Wheels, which provides nutritious meals to Calgarians in need.

As always, we’ll keep you updated on all things YYC Scoop Fest – but it’s high time to get excited Calgary!

This event is going to be pretty cool.
