Yahoo! The Calgary Stampede just announced the return of a staple event in 2022

In YYC, nothing compares to that mid-July feeling – but it’s been a couple of years since we’ve celebrated to the max. In 2022, however, the Calgary Stampede will be back and better than ever, pulling out all the stops, starting with the return of the iconic Parade!

While the city did not cancel last year’s entire event like they were forced to do so in 2020, Calgarians were unable to actually attend the Calgary Stampede Parade – instead, having to watch it on TV.

Held in and around the event grounds, horses, dancers and floats made their way across our screens in hopes of keeping people at home and out of dangerously large crowds – and they were successful! People enjoyed it, but- there’s nothing like the real thing!

For this reason, people were over the moon when the Calgary Stampede took to Instagram with a pretty big announcement.

“The Stampede Parade has been with us since the beginning, and it’s back for 2022!” they wrote. 

In addition to this, event organizers also announced the return of the Chuckwagons, their Saddledome concert series, where Blake Shelton will take the stage, and has promised that more big announcements were on their way.

Of course, anything can happen between now and July but it’s looking good, Calgary!
