Are you a major bookworm? You might want to clear a shelf or two!

Whether you read horror, romance, mystery, or autobiographies, you’re in for a treat because the Calgary Reads Big Book Sale kicks off May 10th, 2024!

A literary treasure hunt that’ll cost less than your next coffee, this massive event will feature over 175,000 gently used novels available for a fraction of the price.

Looking to snag a best seller or a classic children’s story? Rummage through 325 tables – but don’t hesitate if you find something you like.

“People just can’t believe how many books we have and how well-organized they are,” said Manon Mitchell, who speaks for Rotary Club of Calgary.

“The more books that go home with Calgarians, the more dollars we can put toward helping young readers strengthen their skills and get books of their own.”

Between the 12th and 16th, readers will no longer need to make an appointment and will only have to pay a $3 event fee; Then on the 17th and 18th celebrate BOGO days, followed by their Fill-A-Box for $20 Day.

To wrap it up, everything that is left will be FREE on the 20th, though donations are appreciated – so check it out!

Worried that your arms might get tired? There’s even a book parking stall so readers can go back for more and let their arms rest.
