You’ve got just enough time to pick out your outfit because Calgary Pride is lighting up the city next week, and we can’t wait! Grab your crew and get ready to dance, party, and celebrate the beautiful and diverse spirit of our city.

Pride is coming to Prince’s Island Park next weekend for a 2-day festival packed with performances, activities, and music. It’s a time to come together and celebrate the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and support the important work for progress, inclusivity, and acceptance.

Here’s everything you need to know about what’s coming to Calgary Pride this year.

Calgary Pride

Day 1

The first day of Calgary Pride is the one you go to with your friends. Saturday’s 18+ Pride Cabaret Soiree will kick off at 2 PM at Price’s Island Park and feature risqué drag performances, burlesque dance, and an unmissable show courtesy of Canada’s Drag Race superstars Kendall Gender and Synthia Kiss. Consider us star-struck.

Besides taking in all the killer talent, you can indulge yourself at the beer garden, grab a bite from one of the many food vendors, and browse a marketplace packed with unique items from local sellers and artisans. We’d recommend showing up early and taking an Uber home.

When: 2 PM to 6 PM Saturday, September 2nd
Where: Prince’s Island Park, SW
Cost: Free to attend

Day 2

The second day of Calgary Pride is all about fun for the whole family. Naturally, it starts with the Parade, which launches at 11 AM from 4th Street and 9th Avenue SW, moving SE until Fort Calgary. From there, it’s time to head back to Prince’s Island Park for an all-ages day of food, fun, and stellar performances.

Sunday will be packed with all-ages shows, sets by local DJs, food trucks, activities, and more! Winding things down at 9 PM will be a film screening of To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar. Bring a blanket or some camping chairs to sit back and relax as the stars come out.

When: Sunday, September 3rd
Parade: 11 AM to 12 PM, at 4th Street SW & 9th Avenue. All-Ages Festival: 12 PM until late
Where: Prince’s Island Park, SW
Cost: Free to attend
