The city’s most vibrant festival, Pride will return this month with two action-packed weeks of fun, fierce, in-person programming! Not sure what to do or where to go first? Here are 7 events that you cannot miss in 2022.
SHAKE STIR AND STRAINBOW
It’s here! This summer, indulge during Shake, Stir and Strainbow – the city’s tastiest festival. Between now and August 26th, check out one of the many taverns and brewhouses, distilleries, cafes and bars offering an array of colourful offerings and ring in another year of Calgary Pride!

THE 2022 KICK-OFF PARTY

Featuring local vendors, performances and even an outdoor movie screening with Fresh Air Cinema, Calgarians can kick it in the sun with their friends, family and loved ones at Central Memorial Park on August 27th. The best part? This event is FREE to attend!

CALGARY PRIDE FLEA MARKET
Hosted by The Alberta LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce, this year Calgarians can check out the first-ever Pride Flea Market, which will showcase local businesses, musicians and drag performers and more!

RAMSAY PATIO PRIDE PARTY
Drinks, sun and fun? This year, head over to Ol Beautiful Brewing Co. for a patio party in support of the Rainbow Railroad Station and the National SOGIESC Refugee Fund. What’s better than beer and charity? Nothing, we say!

PRIDE SKATE
Need to cool off? Lace on a pair of skates and hit the first-ever Olympic Oval Pride Skate. Costumes, outfits and flare and heavily encouraged and the whole family is welcome!

CALGARY PRIDE PARADE

From humble beginnings to thousands of spectators and supporters, the Calgary Pride Parade is easily one of the most vibrant occasions of the entire year and 2022 will be no different. From floats and flags to performers and glitter you will not want to miss this event in particular.
When: 9th avenue and 5th street – East Village

CALGARY PRIDE FESTIVAL
Following the parade on Sunday, September 4 Calgarians can also check out Fort Calgary where the organization behind the event will have put together an exciting day of thrilling performances, food truck vendors, kid-friendly activities, a vendor marketplace, and a beer garden – all along the beautiful Makhabn (Bow River). Don’t miss it!
