After years of planning and effort and multiple delays, the popular Calgary Farmers’ Market (CFM) is set to open its second location, CFM West, in Greenwich. A massive 54,000 square feet store is set to open doors to the public this August. And in the meantime, they’re bringing their popular pop-up market back for the last time to celebrate pre-launch!
The al fresco pop-up market will be set up in the giant parking lot adjoining the soon-to-open store. And they’re making it a whole deal. So, there of course will be the vendors. Then there is going to be live music performed by local artists. And then there are the food trucks that will be serving up delicious grubs.
Nope, they haven’t forgotten the little ones. There’s a free Kids’ Zone with face painting, caricatures, glitter tattoos, balloon art, and even a soft playground.
Much like the actual CFM, the outdoor market will feature tons of vendors. These include CFM regulars that you’ve seen at their South market and new ones that you’ll find in the upcoming West market.
Expect all things fresh, handcrafted and artisan at the market. Think meat, deli, produce, flowers, fashion and more. Plus, visitors get a complimentary shopping bag (as long as supplies last) to fill up with all the wonderful finds at the market!
