We LOVE hearing about local businesses making a difference in the community, and the newest offering from Calgary’s City and Country, in partnership with another local fave, Two Rivers Distillery, is doing just that. Introducing SHAREgria, a playful twist on the classic white wine Sangria that is all about giving back to the local community.
City and Country is Calgary’s only urban winery and tasting bar, and Two Rivers Distillery, a local spot with some wild award-winning vodkas and gins.
Through the generosity of some other awesome local companies (Evergrn, Tricobaun, Digital Labels), City and Country is actually able to donate $10, which is 100% of the profits, from each bottle of Sharegria sold back to Mealshare. Mealshare, in case you don’t know, is a restaurant-based program aimed at ending youth hunger. These donations will go directly towards the cause, helping fund sustainable solutions to end youth hunger here in Calgary.

Now, let’s talk about that SHAREgria! Made with a BC Pinot Gris made by Calgary’s own City and Country as the base, some delicious fresh fruit juices, and just a touch (the perfect amount) of Pinot Gris brandy that was distilled by Two Rivers Distillery, this crisp drink is perfect for summer.
Plus, what tastes better than a delicious Sangria that helps those less fortunate? Not much, that’s what.
With the goal of raising $10,000 for the Mealshare program, City and Country and Two Rivers Distillery are hoping Calgarians will raise a glass, make a toast, and help support this amazing cause.
You can find the bottles on shelves now at select retailers and restaurants around the city, along with at Two Rivers Distillery and City and Country winery.
Cheers, Calgary!
